A flip through my journal will reveal lettered pages amassed from lectures, sermons, adventures, style practice sessions, and if you're in my bullet journal, to do lists and to read lists. I find writing something down in these letter collages helps me to remember what was said at a ridiculously higher rate than otherwise.
The honesty of the lettering that comes forth is something that I treat as sacred. It's similar to a photograph to me. The lettering is a snapshot of that time and that place. As an added bonus, there's something incredibly satisfying about filling a whole page with jokes or accounts of my trip to Atlanta.
